Journey is a concept that can be explored throughout a variety of different texts. It can also be considered in multiple different ways such as inner, physical and imaginative. 

Through examining the concept of journey in different texts, a range of understandings and perspective of events, characters/people, ideas and societies can be observed. Along with this, different assumptions regarding the representation of journey, the way in which the world can be perceived through journey and how an individuals journey can reflect throughout the one being looked at, can all be examined also.

By exploring journey, it can be found that their are many obstacles along the way that can deeply impact the characters, events and even audience. This is due to the fact that the one undergoing the journey, tend to be challenged physically, emotionally and intellectually as they extend themselves to overcome each barrier. Journey can also leave an impact on the readers, as it can challenge their thinking also allowing them to even go on an imaginative journey with the characters.
